T-PEOS H-100 Hybrid In-Ear headphone(earphone) review

What is this?

This is a sponsored supported product review by ShinWoo Tech and Golden Ears in South Korea, Named as "H-100" of T-PEOS(The Premium Of ShinWoo) review with Golden Ears.
ShinWoo Tech is historic audio parts producing company in South Korea since 1986. They are started to producing audio parts for Nokia TMC and professional in tuning detailed audio products.

In 2012, ShinWoo Tech(SWT) planed to making new generation in-ear headphone for personal music listening with Golden Ears(GEN). GEN is a large audio products measuring community in South Korea. Since 2012, GEN started to put their certification mark for Hi-Fi audio quality products.

This is not a public or official certification, but people who loves Hi-Fi audio quality music devices or products will knows this golden tag on out side of any products.
And T-PEOS H-100 is a first certified product of GEN's.

What Hi-Fi ?

Check following measured graph pictures.

1st, Frequency Response Measure:

A green line is idle measurement of GEN's FR. and T-PEOS H-100 was measured to near of GEN idle graph. From under 20Hz to over 20KHz, H-100 measured over frequency for human range of hearing. and looks really flat for Hi-Fi.
In case of in-ear headphone (earphones) are not easy to making for Hi-Fi audio frequency as flat and linear.

2nd, more detailed Frequency Response.

 A continual dotted line of above graph shows idle response in each frequency points. and measured graphs are (blue and green) really close to that.

3rd, Perceived Frequency Response.

See above graph, it means how it is flat measured for near of Hi-Fi audio frequency.

Finally, Cumulative Spectral Decay.

This means how much clean to listening music, and checking for intrude frequency of decreasing volume. this graph shows how it is clean.

Storing box.

H-100 didn't used PVC or rubber.
Real wood case will be on your hand if you bought this really nice product.

In a box, (if you have removed sealing tag) there's inner protecting PVC shield. you can pick out them easily. * and following picture's PVC package is not for commercial version, this is for reviewer's prototype version. do not refer to released commercial product image *

 H-100 (remember, this is a prototype version of packaging) package included these.

H-100 in-ear headphone.
A soft formed carrying case with strong hanging clip.
4 differential sized double typed silicon sleeves(tips), totally 8 sleeves.
An Airplane dual plug gender
An Anti-drop down neck chain.
A swiping brush. (Release version color changed to black)
Manuals with a guarantee card (I don't know how it applied for English or Japanese language)

Appearance of H-100

H-100 has full metal housing for durable and anti-leaking audio.

Cable used partial fiber coated, non-PVC and ROHS complied materials. 

Metal housing applied Knureing cutting for visual and picking up easily.

Specially fiber coated cable is limited into separating metal ring. from separated ring, cable is not coated. 3.5pi plug also used metal casing. it looks like very strong and durable. so it gives you to the faith.

And there's some defect points.
Fiber coated cable is not comfort to bending or untie from rolled in carrying case.
From separated ring, near neck double cable has not enough length if you like to rounding fit with auricle, if you had ear rounding fit, separating ring will placed under your jaw.

Connecting plug in iOS devices

It is enough and comfort to connect any modern iOS devices in 3.5pi plug hole.
And it will be same on any Android devices.

Don't be worry if you covered with thick metal bumper on your iPhone4/4s. it is enough to comfort even iPhone4s used them. everything is Okay.
Finally, this is enough to most of iPod and iPod touch, iPhones. they are Okay for using this in-ear headphone.

Audience with UE600, UE700

With UE600 and UE700, it was tested to how different between UE series and H-100.

UE600 Topfire tuned single armature driver is really nice one, also UE700 is greater than UE600 in high frequency but it was just my opinion until hearing sound in H-100.

H-100 is not so big. just similar size to UE Super.Fi4. (not in above picture. if you have Super.Fi4, it is size of H-100). Weight is little heavier than Super.Fi4. (SF4 also aluminium metal case housing)

Tested with iPod touch 4 (iOS 5.1.1, jailed) and set EQ to none(flat) for the fairness.
Listened these music albums for how feeling comes to me.

From Within Temptation to Smashing Pumpkins, including Japanese pop - ZARD, all round musics was almost perfectly suit for H-100.
Specially deep and balanced bass was not so hard, and little boosted high frequency makes music little sharpness. Totally H-100 is seems like a reference level Hi-Fi in-ear headphone.
If it used to foamed sponge in sided silicon sleeve (tip) used, you can hear more bass. it isolates more noises from out side headphone and increases deep bass into your canal to the tympanum.

H-100 is better balanced than UE700.
In FR graph, even it better than AKG K3003. (refer to following measured FR from Golden Ears)

AKG K3003 is similar model to T-PEOS H-100. same like hybrid tuned in-ear headphone. Double balanced armature driver and one dynamic driver in each unit. H-100 is one balanced armature driver and dynamic. AKG K3003 need more than USD.$1000, but H-100 only need USD.$230 (not conclusive price in July 2012)

Conclusion

T-PEOS H-100 is virginal product for ShinWoo's own name brand. It need to be enhanced for comfortable inserting into ear canal 'cause silicon sleeve (tip). And little short neck side cables need to be extended for comfort fit of ear rounding. Little heavy housing also need to be more light weighted.
Even these defects, H-100 is a strong and reference leveled in-ear headphone at similar price products.
If you have chance to listen music in local shop with this ultimate valued one, do not lose that chance. it will be comes to up for strong impact what you have listen.

Fossil CH2600, a metal watch for men.

It was a few months ago, I bought CH2653 on Amazon for almost USD 90.
And I wonder: this is really cool stuff !
"Cheap but good quality."
Urethane band sewed each side for duration. Tachymeter printing also good.
Little bit heavy weight. It's OK.
Also Chronograph works well.
So I have impressed at my CH2653, and began to find metal band one.

CH2600.
It was a base model of all CH26xx. A simple outfit. easy to read what time is it now.
Wide metal band, a little bit heavy weight. same design with CH2653.
It looks so good to me. so I purchased it on Amazon.

Fossil always using same metal box.
Actually I don't like this metal box for carrying any metal band watch. whatever, I can use this box for anything else. and it is good function for recycling package.

Shiny stainless steel back is the symbol of Fossil as I know. (my all Fossil watches back are all shiny stainless steel.)
It is easy to clean but need care to any scratch when you released them to anywhere.

fit on my wrist, it's looks perfect on me.
I like feeling heavy on my wrist with something like big watch.
Panel and hands are working well and second hand indicates right number.
By pressing start/stop and lap/reset button is smooth.
Stem for adjusting watch is little bit stiff. ( If you are a man, it will be not a problem )

Finally, Value for money is really nice.
If you have wear watch in everyday...
If you want read time as quickly as possible without any digital device...
If you want good watch for price under USD 100...
It will be a good choice.

A new DICOM tag reader/writer preparing to open.

I have announced to open a source code for DICOM tag files that possible to read and write it.
And my work is going to done for open it as Free license.
My code is not a perfect, but will upgrade as possible as continuously.
In this time, most of South Korea dental DICOM tags are possible to read and analysed.

First revision will mark to 2.
And it will soon be uploaded on my blog.
Everyone could be download and modify.
But I will never support any questions and bug report. (so I will open this source code.)

Maybe I can commit my source codes on Google code or Source Forge. But I haven't plan, yet.

Plan for buying new Pentax DA lens: Pentax DA 35mm f2.4

Since Pentax released new body : Pentax K-r, also pop out a new lens.
It was based on Pentax FA 35mm f2.0, and designed again for digital cameras.
Aperture 2.0 decreased to 2.4, but weight really gone to right. Badly mount assy. is not metallic material anymore. it's released for K-r (and also other P-K mount) as a fixed focal bundle lens.
Seems like a limited models. ( Pentax's high valued limited fixed focal lens )

Like K-5 or K-7 with K-r, they are looks similar.
Actually design started from same base.( as I know. )
So I'm planning for buying Pentax DA 35mm  f2.4 for myself at last of this year.
It seems be ... I will still alone until buying this lens.
So I'll buy this, and I could be take more shots in Winter.

Today's Google is God "Mercury".

I can call him as God "Freddie Mercury".
Even he was a man who has 4 octaves and unbelievable vocalism.

It was about 20 years ago. One of my friend give a tape to me for trying to listen. I can see a title that written in hand - "Queen".
I asked to him. "Is that a kind of Pop music ?", he nodded. So I was think "Queen" is a pop music band. it was so idiot until I tuned up in my cassette tape player.

I can't remember what it was player. at that time, most of cassette tape player are SONY or PANASONIC and SAMSUNG or LG... whatever, important thing is supporting DOLBY NR(Noise Reduction). and my tape payer not built in Dolby NR. so when I listening music, I can hear noise, too.

With my tape player, Queen was a impact on me.
Freddie's vocal was so clean and loud. So incredible, how a human make this sound?
is it a real ? there's many questions. how it is possible ? it belongs to all thing about Freddie's voice. And I understanding about him to read some magazines kinda rock/metal.

And my memory left to him as "God" of rock.
With Judas Priest, they are the best rock musician to me.
